Honey – you can use sugar too if you prefer. If you do add sugar you will need to add a bit of water too. Other alternatives would be Agave syrup or Maple syrup.

Dark Chocolate – I’m always trying to use better quality ingredients for myself and my family. Dark chocolate is better than milk chocolate BUT if you prefer to add milk chocolate then you go ahead and use that instead. The dark chocolate I use is 80% or 90%.

Baked Oat Bar - Food with Mae-8

Ingredients

2 ripe bananas
140g oats
120-150g smooth peanut butter
50g dark chocolate
120ml honey
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 pinch of salt

Instructions

Preheat the oven on 160C fan oven, gas mark 4.

In a large bowl add all the ingredients. Mix them together until they are well incorporated.

Line your oven tray with parchment paper. Pour your oats mixture into the oven tray and bake it in the oven for 20-25 minutes.

Take it out of the oven and let it cool down on the side. Once cooled, slice them into bars and enjoy!
