Lumpiang Keso - Food with Mae-3

Lumpiang Keso

Brie and Cranberry Springrolls

We all know Filipinos love Lumpia, it’s our version of springrolls and of our love language. Food in general is our love language, if we feed you that means we love you!

This recipe is one of our favourite during the Christmas season. Keso is one of the food items that we will serve on our Noche Buena table but this a modern take and a remix of two things we love. Lumpia + Cheese is a great combo! To be honest you can Lumpia everything!

I hope you will enjoy this recipe and let me know what you think. I would love to hear from you!

Lumpiang Keso - Food with Mae-3

Ingredients

1 round Camembert
12 spring roll wrappers
12 spoons cranberry sauce or jam
1 teaspoons flour + 2 tablespoons water
Cooking oil for frying

Instructions

1

In a bowl, mix the water and flour into a paste. Leave it on the side for later. Slice the Camembert across into thin bars. You should be able to slice 12 slices. Take a spring roll paper, add a slice of Camembert and a spoonful of cranberry sauce on top.

2

Roll the cheese spring roll and seal with the flour paste you made ealier. Do this to all the slices of Camembert. Leave it on the side for later.

3

Heat some oil in a frying pan and shallow fry all of the cheese spring rolls on medium heat. It shouldn’t take too long, when it starts spitting that means the cheese has melted you can start taking them out. Leave them on side to cool a little. Be careful the cheese might be hot. Serve warm and enjoy!
